Charleston, South Carolina

One month ago, family and friends convened in Charleston, SC for our annual MLK weekend getaway. This was our 8th annual weekend trip, and our group has grown from four to ten! We had a blast. Everything was great: the hotel (I highly recommend the Andrew Pinckney Inn), the weather, the food, the sights, and the company.

We packed alot into our short weekend. On Saturday we visited the market, ate a yummy lunch, walked around on ritzy King Street, walked north to satiate our sweet tooths at Cupcake, and relaxed a little at the hotel before eating dinner at Hominy Grill (which was featured on Man vs. Food). Best shrimp and grits--ever.

On Sunday we walked down to Waterfront Park, split up into groups and grabbed lunch, then headed toward the Battery. Then the girls stopped to grab some sweet treats while the boys headed to a bar. Some of us took a carriage ride through the city and then we headed to dinner at Fleet Landing.

It was a great weekend and I can't wait to see where we end up next year.

  1. Sounds really fun! And for goodness sake, you look amazing! Your belly is so cute and all out front! Bet you are getting ready to meet that boy! I cannot wait to see that first photo of him.
