Today I purchased Owen by Kevin Henkes. First of all, it's perfect for the obvious reason that we'll be naming our son Owen. But I also love Kevin Henkes books. I read several of them to my class each year. While cute, colorful, and clever, they also reveal great, applicable life messages to younger kids. This particular book is about a boy mouse who just can't help taking his blanket everywhere he goes, even when he starts school. I can't wait to read Owen to Owen.
